We have the flights and other stuff sorted, but we need to work out where we are going to stay! We need a cheap hotel in Dublin city centre so its easy to get to the shops and clubs etc. Also, if you have any information about where to shop, and what clubs are there and which are the best clubs, bars and restaurants, it would be helpful to know

Can anyone who lives in Dublin tell me if it’s unwise to overnight in that area? Is it too crowded and noisy, or can we manage it? Which are the best parks in town where we can spend a couple of hours a day and let the little one play and relax? Is it a problem eating out (and not spending 100€…) for dinner? I’ve read on LP Guide that many restaurants/pubs do not allow kids at evening… do you have any suggestions (ie names and addresses of places in the city center; we will rent a car, but only when we leave dublin). Is the nappy-changing matter going to be a problem?
