Date.Italian and Irish.pls help me?

cheesy asked:

Hi guys,
I’m Italian, have lived in Dublin for almost two years. I met some weeks ago an Irish guy, he is my friend’s housemate, she told me that my first impression was true: he is very shy, silent, serious, rational and smart.
Even if I’m shy too, I asked him out and we went out for a walk on our own and then to see the Italy-France match together with his friends. After the victory we stayed at the pub for a last pint, then we went home, leaving his friends at the pub.We said goodbye to each other with two kisses on the cheeks in Italian style and he said we’ll meet when I’ll come back from Italy (I’m on holiday now so I’ll be in Dublin next week)
I don’t know how to behave,if he likes me or not.Irish guys are very different than Italians, an Italian would hit on a girl he dates from the first hour after he meets her…an Irish (if he is not drunk), does not. So, for me, Irish guys are a mystery!!
A friend told me he behaved in a perfect Irish style, and it is normal that..
…he did not try to him on me or kiss me. He is also very, very polite. My friend told me that he asked if I have a boyfriend the night she introduced me to him, but even he thinks I’m pretty it does not mean he likes or fancies me!
Is it true that Irish guys are shy?
Is it true it could be normal if he didn’t kiss me at the first date?
He told me we’ll meet when I’ll come back to Dublin, is it possible he said that just to be polite?
Do I have to text him or would it be better waiting for his call?

I apologize if I made any mistake, I’m a foreigner :-)

Sarah: Hey i know how you feel im also italian but im also half irish and see my parents were all full of there ethnicity My mom was full blooded irish my dad full blooded italian and see my mom liked my dad becuz he showed his outgoing side a little bit but not too much. And plus irish are not all serious at all (some but not all) if your gonna be a bit irish then dont be at all afraid to meet people but thats not at all hard if your italian so hey dont worry just get his number and slowly progress plus act like your playing a game and trick him into telling you how he feels about you ur italian you can do it !!!!!
