Is David Cameron trying to pull the wool over our eyes by saying he’ll give the UK a referendum?

slıɐuǝoʇ asked:

There’s already been a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty and the Irish said no, but the EU aren’t taking no for an answer as Sarkozy’s visit to Dublin today proves. They’ve already proved that a no vote doesn’t matter so does anyone else think David Cameron is just trying to be clever by saying he’d give the UK a vote? Do you really think he will? And what if the UK says no? Will we be made to vote again like the Irish will have to until we vote yes?

The Conservatives make up any old lie if it gets them in power. They were for the EU until it gave people more working rights etc, as the Conservatives don’t want us in the EU so they can treat us like dirt. They even took away pensioners free eye tests before. They’re also killjoys, as even if things are going well, they say nasty things and make it look bad, as they want things to be bad so they can make up lies to get voted in.

    NOT A CHANCE. Soz…..

Even historically, the Tories took us in to Europe (Ted Heath). Thatcher had a chance to take us out of it, as did John Major. It just isn’t going to happen if they get in. And I don’t think Labour will ever give us a referendum either. We need UKIP or someone radical (but not BNP) to give us a referendum. But it doesn’t look like it will happen. It is SO wrong.

It is all spin with Cameron. He said he was going to tell conservative MEPs to leave the EPP group in the EU and it didn’t happen so why should we think any different of him now?

Well as he well knows the treaty has been signed by the government so i get the feeling as labour promised the same thing to get votes he may well be doing the same! After all if it worked once why not again?
