Could somebody tell me how is the weather like in the UK by the end of March and begining of April?

Cédric asked:

I would like to go next year, as a backpacker. I would like to visit London, Edinburg, and maybe a short trip to some part of Ireland, could be Dublin (I know, I know, only North Ireland is part of the UK…). I appreciate your help

From what I recall we had more summery weather in April this year than we have had all summer.

Weather in the UK is varied at that time of year, as you want to travel across the UK i would suggest bringing some light clothes for the south as it will be warmer than in Scotland where you would need some warmer clothes.

  6. Pheasant Plucker Says:

It will probably be cold, ranging from around zero at night to12 degrees C. by day – coldest in the north. But the weather has become more unpredictable in recent years.

Goodness knows what the weather will be like tomorrow, never mind next March.

That’s early Spring and you could be lucky and have a week that is warm and sunny or you might have a week that is cold and wet. It could snow in Scotland at that time of year.

well, 4 the past 2 years there has been snow here in march, but that was more the beginin of march. normally its raining in april….drip drip drop little april showers as the song goes hahahahha. but i fink this year it was actuly sunny =D but i was in fuerteventura on holiday….so i missed our summer haha

  9. Boy Wonder Says:

Bring a few changes of clothes to suit all weather. It can be so unpredictable.

  10. mat_ll Says:

We have virtually the same amount of rainfall all year round, so it will probably rain. If you stay low level it is unlikely to snow, but frost in the mornings is probable.

Temperatures average 7-9 Celcius in London and a couple of degrees cooler in Scotland
