Investigate flights on Royal Brunei. Generally Ive always found them to be quite cheap, and they usually arent full like Qantas which means youve got a better chance of having 2 seats to yourself on the trip which is a godsend on such a long trip.
Normally Qantas is the most expensive airline in Australia, you can normally get better deal flying other airlines. Since you are planning to go to Thailand, why not try Thai Airways, you might be able to have a free stopover in Bangkok on the way to Sydney/Melbourne, Australia. I think April is a low season, so you might get good prices.
Within Australia, Virgin Blue and Jet Star are the main domestic budget airlines. You can buy tickets online. But mind you that Australia is a HUGE country. Jumping from city to city, coast to coast could cost you a lot (like 300-400 dollar one way flying from East coast to West coast of Australia) Better stick to a region.
Try a company based in Brighton called Travel Nation – I flew one-way from London to Florida, then San Francisco, then Sydney and they got a great deal for me on airlines and hotels. Or there’s a reputable consortium of major airlines called Star Alliance which will let you build your own itinerary – would be worth a try as well. Or there’s always good old expedia.co.uk! Links below. Good luck!
generally the cheapest flights are round the world tickets you get a lot more flexibility with departure dates. they’re also good for one year. you must keep going in one direction tho – so it could be
Ireland northern India ThailandSydneyNew Zealand USA or Canada then England/Ireland.
you can buy internal add on flights quite cheaply as separate items.
Don’t know if it is true but someone said a round the world ticket works out cheaper than direct. book early usually get it a bit cheaper
Here is the answer. It will give you some indication on costs. They are very professional.
Hi if your a seasoned traveller you’d be comfortable booking on line if not fine a good local travel agent [advice] who’ll do everything for you from flights/hotels and travel insurance visa needs.According to stats released yesterday travellers who are from the United Kingdom get into more trouble in both Australia and Thailand.
sta travel is the cheapest and best tickets for around £500 and they have a travel planner to Good luck and enjoy
Your best bet is to go to your local travel agent and ask when is the cheapest time to go to Australia is and to also see if any airlines have any sales on their tickets, but usually when airlines have sales on their tickets you usually have less time to pay of the ticket. When your in the travel agents ask about Cathay pacific as they also have really cheap flights.I have never flown with them but my Mam used to fly with them all the time when she would visit me in Ireland and says they are really good.I have a friend coming out to Australia in a couple of weeks from Ireland and she is flying with Cathay pacific. She got her ticket for 800 Euro return and then her taxes were a couple hundred.I don’t know about India but I am pretty sure that Cathay pacific stop at Thailand as a stopover and there shouldn’t be a problem with you going there if that’s what you want to do,but if you wanted to go to both Thailand and India, you would probably have to get a around the world ticket which can be very pricey most of the time now.I hope I was of some help.Take care.
